Thanks to its electric motors, this powertrain charges forward with 375 hp at the helm, and with 470 lb-ft of torque, it’s able to tow up to 6,000 lbs.

Off-Road Performance

When the terrain becomes a challenge, rest assured that the 2024 Grand Cherokee can handle it, with off-road capabilities that perform above and beyond the competition. A class-exclusive Quadra-Lift air suspension system maximizes the experience like never before, lowering the vehicle on the highway to improve efficiency and raising it to clear obstacles on the trails. Impeccable water fording abilities and high ground clearance make it easy for the Grand Cherokee to charge over any terrain, and with top-level articulation and precise maneuverability, this midsize SUV is a true pro out in the wilderness.

No matter what type of tech interests you, you’ll find it inside the 2024 Grand Cherokee.

Safety & Assistance

There’s a reason why many families are drawn to the Grand Cherokee, and that’s because of its superb safety record. Although it finally has some competition from models like the Ford Bronco, the Jeep Wrangler is still our choice for the king of the trail and the ultimate off-road SUV. We’ll admit that as a Jeep dealer, our opinion on this is probably a bit biased, but that doesn’t change the reality of Jeep’s legacy on the trail, nor does it change the prestigious Trail Rated design and engineering that goes into every Wrangler. For the 2024 model year, Jeep has given the Wrangler an update that includes a facelift, improved tech features, and much more. This is also the final year that the HEMI V8-powered Rubicon 392 variant will be available, so if that’s something you’re interested in, then don’t let this moment pass you by. Between the standard trims and the 4xe plug-in hybrid versions available, you have more than a dozen different options to choose from, so let’s take a closer look at what Jeep is offering this year and figure out which one is right for your next off-road adventure.

What’s New for the 2024 Jeep Wrangler?

The 2024 model represents a mid-generation refresh and update for the Jeep Wrangler, which means it’s not an all-new, redesigned SUV, but there are some significant enhancements for this model year. For starters, on the outside, you’ll notice the restyling and updated design on the front end of the Wrangler. It still has the iconic seven-slot grille that you’d expect, but its looks have been improved and updated to feel a bit more modern. More than a dozen different wheel styles and designs are available for the 2024 Wrangler, giving you tremendous freedom for the look of your vehicle.

Perhaps the most dramatic update for the 2024 Jeep Wrangler is found inside, where its tech features have been completely revamped. Gone are the somewhat dated and undersized infotainment display options of past years. Now, every Wrangler comes with a standard 12.3-inch infotainment display with the latest Uconnect 5 software. This is the largest touchscreen display in its class, and it includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. You’ll also find first and second-row side-curtain airbags that are standard inside every 2024 Wrangler, providing you and your passengers with a safer ride and greater peace of mind.

Your Choice of Four Powerful Engines

The Jeep Wrangler is all about impressive performance and capability, so it’s no surprise there are some powerful engines available—what might be a surprise is that you have four different options to choose from. There’s the standard 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine that delivers 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque; this one is available with either a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic, letting you choose the kind of driving experience you prefer. If you’re looking for boosted trail performance, then consider the available 2.0L turbocharged I-4 that delivers 270 hp and an impressive 295 lb-ft of torque. This engine and the two that follow are only available with the eight-speed automatic.

One of the most exciting options available from Jeep these days is the plug-in hybrid Wrangler 4xe. This model comes with a 2.0L turbocharged I-4 paired with electric motors that provide you with a fantastic 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque—because of its plug-in hybrid design, the 2024 Wrangler 4xe can go an estimated 22 miles without ever touching the gas tank and gets an estimated 370 miles of total range with a full tank and battery. Finally, there’s a monstrous 6.4L HEMI V8 engine available that roars to life with 470 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. Offered only on the Rubicon 392, this beast can go from zero to 60 mph in four seconds flat and run the quarter-mile in under 13 seconds.

Two-Door or Four-Door?

One of our favorite things about the Jeep Wrangler is just how customizable it is. This includes things like your available engines and a wide range of trim levels, exterior colors, and even a variety of wheel designs. Perhaps the biggest decision you’ll make (pun only slightly intended) is the size of your Wrangler and whether you want a two-door or four-door model. There are benefits to going with either one, but ultimately, the decision comes down to how much room you want inside your Wrangler and how often you have passengers with you. The smaller two-door model can be easier to navigate through tight trails, while the larger model is more spacious inside and can be more comfortable for rear-seat passengers. If you’re having a tough time deciding on which is right for you, then visit us and test drive each option for yourself to see which one has what you want.

Your Quick 2024 Jeep Wrangler Trim Guide

Numerous trim levels are available for the 2024 Wrangler in both standard and 4xe versions, so let’s briefly go over some highlights for each one. Choosing the perfect trim can be tricky; be sure to take some time with it and look closely at what each option offers. In general, however, important features for each trim include:

Wrangler Sport

The base Wrangler Sport trim comes with a 3.6L V6 engine, a manual transmission, and manual-folding side mirrors. It has 17-inch wheels, a black Sunrider soft top, and Command-Trac part-time four-wheel drive standard. Inside, the Sport has cloth seating, a 12.3-inch infotainment display with an eight-speaker sound system, and manual windows and door locks to keep things simple.

Wrangler Sport S

With the Sport S trim, you get similar features, including the same engine and overall performance. The Sport S has power-folding, heated side mirrors, automatic headlamps, and a Corning Gorilla Glass windshield. Heated front seats are available for the Sport S, as is an Alpine sound system and more upgrades that you can’t get with the standard Sport trim.

Wrangler Willys

Moving up to the Willys gets you the same basic performance and options, though LED fog lamps become standard along with off-road tires. You also get a Tru-Lok rear axle for even better traction. Inside, it has a lot of features similar to the Sport S, and enhancements like a larger digital cluster display and a heated steering wheel are available.

Wrangler Rubicon

With the Rubicon trim, you get one of the most capable off-road machines on the market, thanks in part to its standard Rock-Trac Heavy-Duty 4×4 system. You can get steel front and rear bumpers on the Rubicon, along with an integrated off-road camera, and it comes with off-road tires. Power-adjustable Nappa leather seats are available for the Rubicon, as is navigation functionality for the Uconnect 5 system, plus the seven-inch digital cluster display becomes standard.

Wrangler Sahara

The Wrangler Sahara comes with the 2.0L engine standard, rather than as an available option, along with Command-Trac 4×4. It is also the first trim that is only available as a four-door model. You get 18-inch wheels wrapped in all-season tires with the Sahara, with a three-piece hard top available. Inside, the Sahara has gorgeous power-adjustable McKinley-trimmed seats available, with more sophisticated touches and advanced tech features on offer.

Wrangler Rubicon X

If you want the off-road performance of the Rubicon with some advanced features, then this one’s for you. It has the same Rock-Trac 4×4 system and capability, with a third-generation heavy-duty Dana 44 front axle and the new Dana M220 full-floating rear axle. Inside, you’ll find all sorts of premium details like power-adjustable Nappa leather seats, navigation, and an Alpine sound system all included.

Keep in mind that you can find many of these trim levels with the plug-in hybrid 4xe powertrain if you prefer the performance of that option. There’s also the Rubicon 392 with its incredible levels of capability and even a special Rubicon 392 Final Edition that pushes the envelope and delivers amazing features like we’ve never seen before—and likely won’t see again for a long time.

#6 – Off-Road Ready

Adventurer enthusiasts will love the fact that their everyday travel companion is also a skilled off-road explorer, which means that there won’t be a need for an additional vehicle in your driveway that is built strictly for adventuring. With the Grand Cherokee’s available 4×4 systems, traveling on bumpy terrain is no sweat for this agile off-roader, and when you choose to buy used, you guessed it—you get to enjoy these off-road-ready features for less money than buying new. Jeep models bring out the adventurer in all of us. Whether you spend your time driving on city streets or in more rural areas, a vehicle that can adapt to the changeable terrain of Illinois can make all the difference. Many Jeep models offer equal parts practicality and adventure. However, there’s something special about the Jeep Wrangler.

Off-road capability comes standard with even the lowest trim levels in the Wrangler lineup, making it ready to explore uncharted territories from the moment you get behind the wheel. Any Jeep fan is sure to tell you that the Wrangler is a particularly long-lasting model, which makes visiting a used Jeep dealer like us a great option.

The team here at Lincoln Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram wants to help you. With a vast assortment of the best Jeep models available in both new and used forms, dynamic performance comes in many forms on our lot. With the help of a used Jeep Wrangler, you are sure to make the most of any journey throughout Illinois.

Off-Road Ready Performance

No matter what iteration of the Jeep Wrangler you’re looking at, you’re sure to get the most in the way of all-terrain capability. Designed to take a beating while also serving practical purposes, the Wrangler dominates under any circumstances. The versatility of the Wrangler can be seen in any model year that you are looking at. The 2012 model introduced a 3.6L V6 engine capable of producing 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. This level of power mixed with suspension tuned to handle off-roading, whether that takes you through mud, sand, or rocks, makes the Wrangler ready to face just about anything.

To aid with all-terrain driving, every Wrangler also comes equipped with a standard 4×4 system. The Command-Trac system the Wrangler has offered since its introduction is a true part-time 4×4 system with a two-speed transfer case to provide maximum traction. With a Wrangler, making your way through slippery, wet, or uneven terrain is simple and fun. The Jeep Wrangler knows how to handle excitement, and our used selection proves that this is the case no matter which iteration you’re looking at.

Practicality for Everyday Life

The Wrangler is known for providing thrilling performance that can make any drive an adventure to remember. However, that doesn’t mean this vehicle is incapable of serving drivers just as profoundly in an everyday setting. The Jeep Wrangler is, after all, an SUV. The four-door Wrangler Unlimited model that was released in 2007 can even carry families or larger groups of passengers. Therefore, the Wrangler is designed to offer a smooth ride when it finds itself on the beaten path. The 2018 JL generation displays this quite nicely, providing competitive efficiency that makes it great for practical use even when compared to other popular SUV models.

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler provides an EPA-estimated 23 MPG in the city and 25 MPG on the highway, achieving a total economy of 24 MPG combined. This is thanks to the efficient 2.0L turbocharged engine and eight-speed automatic transmission introduced for the JL generation. In 2021, Jeep went even further by pairing the 2.0L engine with a battery pack and electric motors to create the Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid, which can travel an estimated 22 miles on electricity alone. Jeep SUVs aren’t just adventurous; they’re also highly versatile and able to serve drivers to the highest degree, no matter what scenario they may be taking on.

Capability and Comfort for All Situations

The Wrangler model’s power and performance can also be used for a variety of practical purposes. Using your SUV for work and recreation alike often involves carrying heavy loads for the journey ahead. With up to 72.4 cu.ft. of cargo space in the back, the Jeep Wrangler provides the capability to bring whatever you may need to your destination. The Jeep Wrangler also features a towing capacity of up to 3,500 lbs in four-door models, allowing drivers to bring boats, trailers, and other materials along with them.

In addition to both efficiency and towing capacity, a used Wrangler can also be a comfortable option, no matter how many people you may be bringing along for the ride. Seating between four and five passengers, depending on the configuration you choose, drivers and passengers can enjoy a variety of amenities to make every ride convenient and enjoyable. Recent models even have modern technology, like large infotainment screens with smartphone integration and built-in navigation.

Standard cloth seating provides comfort for those inside, and with the option to opt for leather upholstery, riders can get a sense of how commanding the Jeep Wrangler is from the inside. With a long list of practical features that make every journey smooth and easy, the Jeep Wrangler holds its own as an everyday SUV, just as it does when it’s seeking adventure. And we can’t forget to mention the thrill of taking the doors and roof off to enjoy the open air on your daily commute.

Safety Features That Provide Peace of Mind

No matter what kind of excitement you’re seeking with a used Jeep Wrangler, having the confidence that you are safeguarded from any potential harm is the most important thing. For a vehicle this versatile, it should come as no surprise that high-quality safety features are in ample supply. Recent Wrangler models make this most apparent, with an extensive list of high-tech safety features that enhance awareness and keep you right where you’re supposed to be.

Automatic High-Beam Headlamps cut through darkness and fog easily without you having to flip the switch to turn them on. Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path Detection ensures you don’t accidentally clip another vehicle while trying to change lanes, making highway driving less stressful. Additionally, Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking can detect the possibility of an oncoming accident and alert you with enough time to take corrective measures. These are just a few of the safety features that can be found in a used Wrangler. With high-tech features that keep everyone safe and taken care of, driving with family or on your own is peaceful and comfortable every time.

A close-up of the Hornet badge on a yellow 2024 Dodge Hornet GT.

At Lincoln Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, your premier Dodge dealer, we have a new addition to the Dodge lineup: the Hornet. If that name sounds familiar, that’s because it is! Dodge has resurrected the nameplate for the new Hornet crossover, but it’s not the first time a car company has used the name. While it shares a history with manufacturers like Hudson and AMC, today, it joins the current automotive landscape as a sharp-looking subcompact SUV.

Dodge first used the Hornet nameplate in 2006 for a European model and took styling cues after the Nissan Versa, including 5 doors and a compact platform. But because of the financial crisis that hit its peak in 2009, the car never made it to the manufacturing floor…until now. We get why Dodge chose the name even though it’s been used. Hornet is a striking name; it implies a fast, agile, and aggressive insect; who wouldn’t want to drive that?

The 2023 Hornet marked the first new Dodge model in the last ten years, plus it was the automaker’s crossover SUV debut. The Alfa Romeo hatchback-styled crossover comes loaded with a healthy list of standard features, plenty of fuel efficiency, a punchy engine, and a friendly starting price. Drivers with a list of potential future SUVs won’t want to overlook the latest Dodge Hornet. The Hornet boasts the 2023 JD Power award for “America’s Best Overall Brand for New Vehicle Quality.” Drawing on influences from Dodge’s high-performance past, the modern five-seater SUV impresses when you’re behind the wheel.

Unleashing the Hornet

The Dodge Hornet’s sporty SUV-inspired exterior promises an exhilarating time, blending power and performance for a best-in-class ride you won’t find just anywhere. With its 2.0L Hurricane4 Turbo engine, the Hornet stands out as not just fast but the fastest crossover in its class, boasting 268 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive, it offers supreme traction and control when you want it the most.

But if you believe the rumors and are familiar with the Hornet’s reputation for exceeding expectations mile after mile, you know that the excitement doesn’t stop at the engine. Drivers can quickly switch on Sport Mode for a fine-tuned throttle response and enhanced handling, elevating the Hornet’s performance with just the simple push of a button. The Hornet is decked out with a diverse range of performance features to ensure a balanced and dynamic ride every time you hit the road.

The Hornet comes standard with Dynamic Torque Vectoring that sends power independently to each wheel, maximizing balance and stability to meet current driving demands. This makes the Hornet a pro when it comes to delivering a responsive curve-hugging drive that doesn’t disappoint. The modern Torque Vectoring system is expertly paired with a KONI Frequency Selective Damping Suspension.

KONI is a brand you want on your side if a sleek yet firm ride is what you had in mind. The KONI suspension excels at providing control and comfort, even on less-than-optimal terrain like pot-holed city streets. In short, the new Dodge Hornet is engineered to glide over the pavement and round corners and excel on every level, all with minimal shock and vibrations for a rewarding and fun drive. It’s all easy sailing when you’re behind the wheel.

Turning Heads One Mile at a Time

A brilliant combo of brains and brawn, the Dodge Hornet isn’t just a looker but a doer! The Hornet’s design checks all the boxes you could want from a sporty compact: sleek, modern, and ultra-bold. The modern silhouette declares the Hornet is an effortlessly cool crossover that doesn’t demand attention yet gets it all the same. One exterior feature you’re sure to notice right off the bat is the grille. It’s inspired by hornet hives, adding a touch of prickly aggression that we can’t help but love. The LED headlights in the front and the Racetrack taillamp in the back work well at giving the Hornet that iconic vibe that declares it’s a Dodge.

And on the inside? You can bet the high-style vibes carry over to the cabin. The Hornet is all about making your driving experience first-class inside and out. A standard power sunroof to let in the sunshine? Check. An available hands-free power liftgate that opens with a simple kick? Oh yeah! Say goodbye to juggling groceries while trying to open the trunk and say hello to modern convenience. The Hornet knows it’s not just about the ride but the little things that can make or break your drive.

As far as comfort is concerned, expect plenty. The cabin delivers ample head and legroom so you can stretch out and enjoy the ride. The front bucket seats are sculpted to cradle and support the driver, so you feel more like a race car driver than a casual commuter. What about those second-row seats? Concerned about space? Don’t be! The second row is set with plenty of legroom for everyone. Plus, with the split 60/40 seating and ample cargo space, you can pack luggage, gear, and essentials for any adventure without cutting corners.

And last but not least, there’s tech! Find the newest technology delivered to your fingertips when you slip into the driver’s seat. Connecting with your Hornet for a personalized experience is easy, even if you’re not the most tech-savvy. The touchscreen display is complete with Dodge’s UConnect system and is ideally placed close by on the dash, right where you need it. The display with UConnect tech offers clear, easy-to-access menus, so navigating through your favorite podcasts, apps, and playlists is simple. Check new messages, get navigation, and more! And with extra features like wireless charging, you can keep your phone battery boosted up without the hassle of cables and wires. Once you experience the luxury of the Hornet, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it.

The Hornet Puts You in Command

The Dodge Hornet is impressive in more ways than one. It boasts the most powerful engine in the crossover segment but keeps things practical with an affordable starting price and great standard features like all-wheel drive, a sunroof, and a large touchscreen. It’s true when we say there’s nothing else like the Dodge Hornet. A winning balance of Dodge’s high-powered performance and modern comfort, the Hornet crossover can pull double duty as a thrilling road tripper and everyday family grocery-getter; the 5-seat crossover is flexible enough for both.

For drivers looking for something out of the ordinary, the Hornet does an excellent job of living up to its aggressive name, offering an extra exciting sting when you pull out on the road and push down on the gas. There are some vehicle names you hear that will instantly ring a bell. This type of recognition usually comes from a vehicle that’s been around for decades. An example that we believe may ring true for many is the Dodge Durango. The Durango, a vehicle that’s been on the market since 1998 (minus a brief hiatus for 2010), is a nameplate that continues to bring back fun memories for many. Others who may be looking for their first experience with a Dodge Durango are also in for a treat with the release of the 2024 model. However, there are some things about the 2024 Durango you should know before visiting Lincoln Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, your local Dodge dealer, and that’s what we’re here to tell you about today. Ready to learn more about your next car? So are we; let’s begin!

As Power Hungry or Fuel-Efficient As You Want

One thing about the Dodge Durango that separates it from many other vehicles—especially other three-row SUVs—is the sheer number of available powertrains. Ultimately, there are four powertrains for the Dodge Durango, but the engine you get is heavily reliant on which trim you choose. This is because the Durango comes in many flavors, ranging from its base SXT trim all the way up to the best-of-the-best SRT Hellcat Premium. Between the SXT and SRT Hellcat Premium are a wide range of trims, including the GT, R/T, and the SRT 392, all of which are available in Plus and Premium variants.

Depending on the exact trim, the 2024 Durango will either come with a 3.6L V6 engine or one of three possible HEMI V8 engines. However, no matter which engine is under the hood of your Durango, it comes paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. We’ll talk more about the V8 engines in a moment because the performance of the Durango takes a sizable leap once you move up from the base engine. As for the base V6 engine, this allows the entry-level Durango to tow up to 6,200 lbs thanks to 295 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. Rear-wheel drive comes standard, but all-wheel drive is available for better traction on slippery surfaces. EPA-estimated fuel efficiency for the 3.6L V6 engine is up to 19 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway.

Now let’s start talking about those V8 engines. The first of the three HEMI options is a 5.7L V8 engine, which increases the Durango’s towing capacity to 8,700 lbs—a 40% increase over what the V6 engine can deliver. The horsepower and torque output also get a sizable increase, with this engine delivering 360 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque. Like the V6 engine, this one comes with rear-wheel drive standard and can be upgraded to all-wheel drive—the remaining powertrains we’ll talk about today only come with all-wheel drive. But first, how does the V8 engine with the lowest displacement fare when it comes to fuel efficiency? It’s a bit lower than the standard V6, coming in at 14 MPG in the city and 22 MPG combined.

Next up, what happens if you increase the displacement of the V8 engine from 5.7L to 6.4L? The available 6.4L HEMI V8 engine sees a large performance boost over the previous V8 engine, with 475 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque—that’s a 32% increase in horsepower and a 21% increase in torque. However, given the sizable performance improvements and standard all-wheel drive, fuel efficiency takes an expected nose dive. With this engine, the 2024 Dodge Durango is rated for an EPA-estimated 13 MPG in the city and 19 MPG on the highway.

The Best of the Best, Only for the Best

The grand finale of the Durango’s powertrains is the 6.2L Hellcat supercharged V8 engine. Given the name of the engine, you’d be right in guessing this engine is only available for the SRT Hellcat trims. To say you get what you pay for here would be an understatement. When you think of performance, you’re likely thinking about hundreds and hundreds of horsepower and immense torque output, and that’s exactly how we’d describe the powertrain that comes with the SRT Hellcat, SRT Hellcat Plus, and SRT Hellcat Premium.

With an incredible 710 hp and 645 lb-ft of torque, to say you’ll feel the power beneath your foot in the SRT Hellcat trims would be a severe understatement. In order to better put this performance into perspective, comparing the 6.2L Hellcat supercharged V8 engine to the base 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine reveals it has 141% more horsepower and 148% more torque. With this type of power, you can’t expect class-leading fuel efficiency, but it’ll get you by with an EPA-estimated 12 MPG in the city and 17 MPG on the highway.

Keeping Yourself With the Times

The Dodge Durango has been around for a long time, and only once was the model shelved for an eventual resurgence a year later. The Durango as we know it now is a little smaller than its previous incarnation, but it’s still a large vehicle designed to keep everyone onboard comfortable and connected. The Durango is much like Dodge’s other offerings in that it keeps up-to-date with modern tech features drivers are looking for. The 2024 Durango comes standard with an 8.4-inch infotainment center, and there is an even larger 10.1-inch touchscreen available on the higher trims.

Both infotainment centers come with the latest Uconnect 5 software, which will give you Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, helping to keep the 2024 Durango relevant with the times and ready for future updates. One of the best features of the Uconnect 5 system is that it allows you to save up to five individual driver profiles, so you always have all your preferences at hand, even if you share your Durango with other family members. On the performance-oriented SRT 392 and SRT Hellcat trims, you also get Performance and SRT Pages for the infotainment system. These display critical vehicle information like temperatures and pressures so you can extract maximum performance from the vehicle.

The Durango Is a Certified Beast

From every perspective, the Durango is a machine that’s ready for prime time, and the 2024 model does an exemplary job of keeping Durango fans happy. Dodge’s lineup is rather restricted going into the 2024 model year, with the Durango and Hornet carrying the brand after Dodge closed the book on the Charger and Challenger while it revamps its muscle car lineup for a new generation.

However, the Durango is more than capable of shouldering this weighty responsibility. With the likes of the SRT 392 and SRT Hellcat trims for the daredevils amongst you, to more simplified yet still elegant and performant trims like the SXT and Citadel, the Durango is a certified beast in both power and value. If you are interested in seeing this rugged three-row SUV for yourself and perhaps taking it for a test drive to feel its power, then come visit us at Lincoln Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. We can’t wait to show you what this classic Dodge SUV can do for modern drivers.
