Our Story

Lincoln Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is one of several dealerships owned and operated by Matt Gastman. Matt ushers in the second generation of a family legacy that's been the cornerstone of the local automotive landscape for decades. Our dealership joined that legacy in 2021, but our story began decades prior when a young John Gastman (Matt's father) launched his career in the automotive business at Roanoke Motors.

Roanoke Motors was an existing franchise Mel Rocke purchased in 1956, later welcoming his son, Dennis, into the family business as part owner. Throughout these early years, John Gastman was hired in the wash rack, instantly discovering his excitement for the automotive industry. John worked his way up in the dealership, learning the ins and outs of its operations before buying in as a partner in the late 1980s. Like Mel and Dennis, John's son, Matt, bought into the business in the new millennium.

With John eventually retiring, Matt assumed ownership of Roanoke Motors and set his sights on expansion. He purchased Roanoke Ford in 2016 and Lincoln Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in 2021. Over the years, his leadership and passion for treating customers to extraordinary experiences have earned our dealership and the others a stellar reputation nationwide. For example, Roanoke Motors was the largest Dodge Viper dealer in the country, earning it and our dealership recognition as performance-focused venues.
